Empowering People, Launching lives
We’re really excited to be part of the 2.6 challenge to help save the UK’s charities! Sunday 26th April was the scheduled date for the London Marathon. In response to countless mass participation events being postponed due to Covid-19, on the 26th the 2.6 Challenge will launch to help raise vital funds for UK charities. Your support is more important than ever as we try and raise voluntary income to support our projects.
The challenge is simple – take part in any activity on your own or with your household that relates to the numbers 2.6 or 26. It could be anything from doing a 2.6 mile run in your living room to holding a treasure hunt with 26 items for your children (or flatmates!) to find.
Make your challenge as simple, silly or snappy as you like – the only requirement is that it fits in with government guidance on social distancing and staying safe.
For more fun ideas take a look at this handy activity pack (with customisable poster to print at home) from Virgin Money Giving and set up your fundraising page here! Or if you’d prefer you can make a donation to our campaign page. All funds donated to BeyondAutism for the 2.6 Challenge will help us to keep empowering children and young adults with autism and making a difference to hundreds of families.
When you’ve finished your challenge don’t forget to take a photo and tag us on social media with the hashtags #TwoPointSixChallenge and #BeyondAutism. We’d love to hear about the different activities you’ve been trying!
