Head of Post-19, David Anthony, speaks at Yarrow Housing’s Registered Manager’s Network meeting
16th May 2018

This afternoon our Head of Post-19, David Anthony, spoke at Yarrow Housing’s Registered Manager’s Network meeting in Hammersmith. David’s presentation covered ‘Education and employment: ensuring young people have choice and control’ a topic that is at the heart of everything we try and achieve at Post-19.
At BeyondAutism we believe that young people with autism should have a voice and be involved in decision making to allow them to have control over where and how they live, what they do and with whom.
As such our Post-19 structure is heavily based on teaching in the community. We create strong vocational links within our learners’ community and provide each learner with a variety of experiences to offer them choice over what they do. Each curriculum is therefore a bespoke package created to suit an individual’s needs, aspirations and desired outcomes.
